Violence Against Women
Les violences faites aux femmes
Violences against women are multiple: besides the assaults in their family present 6% of women aged between 18 and 59 years were subjected to sexist insults in 2005 or 2006, 2.5% were victimized physically and 1.5% reported having been raped. In this case, one in five is perpetrated by the former spouse and half of the victims knew their assailant. Sexual violence is less frequent in the household, but the reverse is true for physical violence.
Women without a diploma are three times more likely to suffer domestic violence. Hugs, kisses and other rude gestures are the most common sexual assault and framework for the workplace in a quarter of cases.
