Protecting women against violence Analytical study of the results of the second round of monitoring the implementation of Recommendation Rec (2002) 5 on the protection of women against violence in Council of Europe member states
The present report is based on the replies of 40 member states to the monitoring framework, as well as on the results of the regional seminars in the Council of Europe Campaign to Combat Violence against Women, including Domestic Violence, launched in November 2006. As in the previous reports, documents that have become available on the internet, such as CEDAW reports (with shadow reports of NGOs), National Plans of Action, and information from international NGOs with expertise in the field were also mined for information on new developments in good practices.
