Intervention programme for gender violence offenders (PRIA)
It encompass psychotherapy sessions which are organized in a program that is structured in a progressive series of units which seek to modify and improve the variables related to gender violence. In this context, it involves 11 units: motivation for change, expressing emotions; cognitive distorsions; assuming responsibilities around gender violence; empathy with the victim; physical violence and the control of rage and fury; sexual harrasement; psychological violence; children/s abuse; gender mainstreaming and gender violence; and, relapse prevention. It is developed groupally, celebrating weekly sessions for about a year. It is supported by technical staff of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Aims and objectives
The objectives of the programme are, basically: 1) decreasing the probability of repeating acts of violence against women by persons convicted of offenses; and 2) modifying sexist attitudes and develop patterns of behavior that respect gender equality.
