Domestic violence - guide to the media: to inform about change
The Handbook now presented is intended to be a practical help to the media professionals who come into contact with the victims of domestic violence. It is a tool that reflects the debate conducted over many years in international fora, particularly within the United Nations, where it has left abundant literature on the subject, with practical recommendations intended to be carried out by the UN member states. One recommendation is to involve the media, to conduct a reflection on the role of women in contemporary societies, in order to understand why they are the main victims of domestic violence.
