COE campaign “Stop domestic violence against women”
(1) Seminar „Domestic violence against women in Finland” - best practices for preventing domestic violence, 08/04/2008, The Parliament of Finland. The seminar is organised by the Finnish PACE delegation, the Employment and Equality Committee and Legal Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament in co-operation with the steering group of the COE campaign against domestic violence against women in Finland. (2) Regional seminars - as part of the intergovernmental Campaign activities, the Council of Europe organised five regional information and awareness raising seminars in co-operation with the requesting Council of Europe member state. Each of these seminars were devoted to one of the objectives of the Campaign. Participation upon invitation only. For example: Regional Seminar on Support and Protection for victims of Domestic Violence: Service needed, (Espoo, Finland, 8-9 October 2007) was the 5th and last regional seminar organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Campaign to Combat Violence against Women, including Domestic Violence. The seminar was devoted to the protection and support services for victims of domestic violence. It focused on the types of support services needed for victims of domestic violence as well as the structures and organisation of these services.
