National Survey on Violence Against Women in France (ENVEFF)

In order to establish the relationship of trust, the questions on acts of violence only came up in a module including contextual data (family characteristics, economic, social, residential etc) biographic elements and information on health. The purpose of the questionnaire was to progressively make visible the situations of violence and to enable to recall/remember of events that occurred sometimes a very long time ago. The violence itself was never provided, every module included, for the past 12 months, the occurrence of deeds/acts not categorised as violence The research also includes more grave violence suffered throughout life.
