At the Symposium there were around 80 participants representing national governments, NGOs, civil organizations, researchers. Ms. Ingrid Bellander-Todino, DG Justice, Policy Coordinator for vaw made a presentation on EU activities in regards to domestic violence and announced that DG Justice works on Victims Right package now (t.b. announced in May) and that EU could accede CAHVIO as an EU. Other speakers shared and presented good practices in service provision at national level, at active involvement of community, etc. Good practice in trainings for different professionals was presented as well.
During discussions EIGE's work in area of gender based violence was presented.
