The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) will participate in the IFLA World Library and Information Congress satellite conference on "How can libraries and information centres improve access to women's information and preserve women's cultural heritage?", on 9 August 2012, in Tampere, Finland.

Ana Sofia Fernandes, EIGE's Resource & Documentation Center (RDC) officer will present a communication on the development of EIGE's RDC to an audience composed of information and documentation centers representatives from all over Europe.

The communication "Towards one portal for gender equality and women's human rights resources in Europe" presents EIGE's RDC plans of development in partnership with several stakeholders and actors.

EIGE's RDC aims at becoming a central hub for accessing knowledge on gender equality, contributing to better policy making and raising awareness on the importance of gender equality in Europe.
