EIGE’s first-ever Gender Equality Forum came to a close on 25th October.
EIGE launched its Gender Equality Index 2022 and many inspiring sessions and workshops were organised at the Forum. Gender equality advocates, EU and national policy makers, experts and many others shared their expertise and exchanged views on the most pressing issues affecting progress in gender equality.
Many of the participants took up the commitment to define their #3StepsForward.
I hope what you have learned at the Forum has given you a greater purpose towards that goal.
It’s doable. You can do it.
We’re in the eye of a storm. But together we’re stronger. And if we continue to form new coalitions, share and support each other, we will prevail.
We have put the powerful learnings and insights from the Gender Equality Forum 2022 sessions into a Chair Statement. This document outlines some of the current and future challenges we face for a more gender-equal Europe. In turn, the Chair Statement sets a path for EIGE and the wider gender equality community to actively engage in the necessary work to achieve our goals together - from now until the next Gender Equality Forum in 2024.
