Description

EIGE understands gender training to mean the development of gender competence, for which the form, content and structure of the training is vitally important. For the purposes of the mapping exercise, gender training was defined as an educational tool and a process that supports policy makers in integrating gender considerations into policies and programmes. This report is an outcome of the first phase of EIGE’s project on gender training and presents the results of the mapping of current gender training trends across the EU. Further in-depth research was to be undertaken in 2013 to focus on the effectiveness of gender training. The aim of the mapping exercise was to provide an overview of gender training at international, EU and Member State (including Croatia) level. It also sought to identify examples of initiatives/activities that represented the most efficient and effective methods of delivering gender training.
