Description

This study gathered together a collection of resources, methods and tools on protection and prevention of violence against women to enhance the effectiveness of gender equality policies at EU and Member State level. The study developed and tested a methodological approach to assess good practice in prevention and protection. While the approach proved generally suitable for evaluating programmes to improve gender equality, it identified nine common criteria to identify good practice in domestic violence specifically. Methodological tools were also developed to consider the specific elements of awareness-raising campaigns, training, victim support services, and perpetrator programmes.
