Women's representation in media: readers preferences for online news revealed
Our analysis of the most detailed and comprehensive data on UK online news showed clearly that women played a small role in speaking to the nation. In a year, the newspapers: The Daily Mail, Telegraph, and Guardian recorded less than 30% of articles written by women. While UK newspapers publish much more content by men, audiences share content by women in different proportions. This article compares how women's writing was published and shared across a year of the Guardian, Telegraph, and Daily Mail.
