Many times in history women were subjects to trade exchange among men. And though the times have come that consider the equality between women and men legislatively obvious, still women can be trafficked - both legally (in advertising) and illegally (in forced prostitution). Volume “Women Are Not Commodities: The Commodification of Women in Our Culture” follows the concept sketched in “Pink and Blue World: Gender Stereotypes and Their Consequences“ - it is bringing colorful text and picture materials on how women become commodities and how to prevent it via teaching practice.
