The gender pay gap. Origins and policy responses. A comparative review of 30 European countries
The report, carried out by a group of independent economic experts, highlights once again this well known and yet disturbing reality. The pay gap between women and men persists and there is little evidence of improvement. The authors of this report emphasise the need for multi-dimensional policies to address the underlying causes of the gender pay gap. The data presented in this report are based on the Structure of Earnings Survey 2002 (SES). This survey is considered the most reliable source with respect to harmonised pay data.
