National Policy for Gender Equality for the period 2011-2015

The national gender equality strategy starts with legal grounds and situation assessment in the area of gender equality (legislation and institutional development, achievements and challanges in implementing gender equality policy) and continues with strategic framework for the implementation of the gender equality policy and the action plan. It covers following strategic areas: (1) promoting the human rights of women and gender equality; (2) equal opportunities on the labour market; (3) gender-sensitive education; (4) equality in political and public decision-making; (5) eliminating violence against women; (6) international policy and cooperation; (7) institutional mechanisms and modes of implementation.
