Actes du cycle de séminaires gender mainstreaming

This publication aims to show how, within the Belgian government, mainstreaming equality between women and men can be applied and made operational. It also looks at the various concepts, methods, structures and instruments. The first part of this publication tackles the principle of gender budgeting; the integration of the gender dimension into development and the integration of the gender dimension into the definition of policies. It also addresses the “gender test” tool.

The next part focusses on how gender mainstreaming can be formalized in the functioning of the administration and explains how the issue of equal opportunities for women and men may be implemented in public procurement and the award of grants.

Finally, it focusses on the evaluation of the integration of a gender perspective in policies and structures.

Cette publication a pour objet de montrer comment, au sein des pouvoirs publics belges, l’approche intégrée de l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes peut être appliquée et rendue opérationnelle. Elle se penche également sur les divers concepts, méthodes, structures et instruments.
