Bericht betreffend den Abbau von Benachteiligungen von Frauen. Berichtszeitraum 2009 – 2010

Based on a law (Bundesgesetzes über Berichte der Bundesregierung betreffend den Abbau von Benachteiligungen von Frauen" (BGBl. 837/1992) the federal government has to report about the situation of women in Austria on a bi-annual basis. The report has to focus on the following areas: measures that improve the level of compatibility; between employment and family life; social-political measures that decrease the disadvantages of women due to the fact they are or could be mothers; measurements to implement equal treatment in employment and occupation; increase measures to promote women in all societal fields (especially in employment, science, art, endowment of the arts and administration); general measurements to ensure basic living needs are met especially under conditions related to age, invalidity and unemployment
