This article applies a political process approach to the analysis of pioneering Dutch efforts to develop and use gender impact assessment (GIA).
The study looks at the power of women to influence decision-making in the media. The reason for this study is due to the increased inflow of women working in the media (in comparison to the 1980s).
Before this study came into play, there was no data on the position of women in the cultural sector.
