This document provides a limited research on the magnitude of the problem in Tilburg and Amsterdam. These are two cities where migrants from FGM practicing countries are concentrated. The aim of the research was to provide insights in to the magnitude of the problem of FGM in Amsterdam and Tilburg; to provide insights in knowledge and needs with regard to information of the relevant care providers and other professionals about FGM, and to provide insights in the attitudes of Somali with regard to FGM, the prohibition of it and the barriers to change. The document is part of the policy advice (see POL_08)
