This letter informs the Tweede Kamer about some issues (legal aid and medical aspects in alien policy). With regard to FGM, this letter states that it is the intention of the ministry of justice that, in case asylum is requested based on the fear of FGM, in the future a (voluntary) declaration will be requested in which a medical doctor declares that no FGM has taken place. In case asylum for unlimited period of time is requested, another declaration will be requested (after five years), to avoid abuse of asylum.
