Statistical Data on Intimate Partner Violence
This paper surveys the kinds of tatistical data from which the proportion of men and women as perpetrators and victims of intimate partner violence can be inferred. It identifies three types of data: data coming from human service providers, representative surveys and criminal statistics. It also discuss some of the consequences of this information when designing interventions to combat intimate partner violence.
