The numbers listed in annex 1, A and B are all statistical drawings from the web based national institution "Statistikbanken" (The bank of Statistics), who collects official statistic material in Denmark.

15.116 female immigrants and descendants with origin where FGM is performed are living in Denmark (10.025 immigrants, 5.091 descendants).

Limitations of study

The data available on "The bank of statistics" gives no information about: - the exact number of women with FGM living in Denmark - length of stay in a country - date of birth of daughters (descendants)
