The tool contains a small number of questions to detect whether physical or sexual violence, as well as emotional abuse or threats, have occurred. Supplementary questions target people with disabilities and other special groups. Information is also provided on how to file a report with the police, her right to counsel under certain circumstances, her options for obtaining a restraining order in her home and elsewhere, a safety and security package with the police, her right to damages, family law services, what volunteer organisations have to offer, etc.
