The Fomen project aims at promoting gender equality and violence prevention through the work with men with migration backgrounds around challenging own bias on masculinity, gender roles and diversity, using an interculturally sensitive approach, respectful of different beliefs, values and specific experiences.
The FOMEN Leaders of Change training is organised in the form of group discussion, and targets men with migration backgrounds willing to become agents of change for gender equality within their communities. We will work with aspiring societal change leaders on multiple topics including: Gender and masculinity, Self-care, Emotion management, Identification and Prevention of social and gender-based violence, Social and intimate relationships, and much more.
The training will take place online over 5 days from August 9th to August 13th, 2021, and it's free of charge. This first edition will be held in Arabic and English language with overall language support from our trainers and facilitators.
