With the aim of closing the gaps between commitments to gender equality and the policies and programmes funded by EU and national budgets, EIGE's on-going project focuses on effective integration of gender mainstreaming and gender budgeting in the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF).

This one-day meeting on the 21st of November will provide an opportunity to:

  • Present findings on the model for integrated ESF/ERDF initiatives on work-life balance to the group of experts and practitioners.
  • Launch a discussion between the experts about the key features of the proposed model and its feasibility within the current and possible future configuration of ERDF/ESF.
  • Obtain insights from the expert participants about their experiences in implementing integrated ESF/ERDF initiatives on work-life balance.
  • Obtain feedback on content and needs to consider when developing a step-by-step module for gender budgeting in the ESIF.

This meeting will primarily target leading experts and representatives from the national machineries for gender equality, ministries of finance, managing authorities and practitioners from the regional and local level. Participation is by invitation only.
