Commitment to democracy through increasing women's participation - Code IWP project invites you to participate in an online discussion on Sexual Harassment in Politics. The event takes place on EuroGender17 June 2016, 10.00 am - 14.00 CEST.

Provided that you are signed in to your EuroGender accounts, you can participate in the online discussion here.

We know that women across Europe encounter sexual harassment in private and in public. Politics is not an exception in this issue. Recently e.g. the French female ministers have made a statement that they will no longer be silent about the issue. However, gathered information about the prevalence of sexual harassment in politics and (good) interventions is not easily available.

If you have an expertise and/or interest in sexual harassment in politics, you are invited to join this online discussion. Particular focus will be given to the following questions:

·         What kind of experiences and knowledge we have on the issue?

·         What kind of tools and campaigns there have been to tackle sexual harassment in politics and how have these worked?

·         What kind of tools, interventions and campaigns would we still need?

Commitment to democracy through increasing women's participation - Code IWP project aims the continual encouragement of female participation and, more specifically, in the increase of women's participation as voters and as candidates in both the N&E elections and political life. The project is co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union.
