Conference "Gender Equality and Sport: towards a level playing field for women"

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day and in the run up to Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics, the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) invites you to the conference “Gender equality and sport: towards a level playing field for women”. The event is held in cooperation with the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee, the Nordic Embassies and the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Vilnius.

The aim of this conference is to raise awareness of the challenges women encounter in sport, listen to women athletes and their suggestions for an inclusive and diversity friendly sports culture.

The event brings together representatives from the International community in Vilnius, Lithuanian sports federations, policy makers, gender equality organisations, media representatives, as well as athletes.

The conference is held in English, with simultaneous interpretation from/into Lithuanian.
