EIGE will organise a peer review meeting on female genital mutilation (FGM) in the frame of EIGE’s study to map the current situation and trends of FGM in the 27 EU Member States and Croatia, on 10 May 2012 in Vilnius.

The meeting will be dedicated to:

  • present the findings of the 1st phase of the study (overview of available data, including an assessment of the quality and comparability of the data and identification of gaps, overlaps, commonalities in data availability in all MS and Croatia);
  • present the country’s fact sheets;
  • discuss the methodology for an in-depth research in 8 Member States aiming to analyse the existing data and information on FGM.
