The consultation meeting on good practices in preventing domestic violence is organised in the frame of EIGE’s study “Collection of methods, tools and good practices in the field of domestic violence (as described by area D of Beijing Platform for Action) in the EU 27 Member States and Croatia”.

One of the study’s aims is to assess and collect practices with potential in EU27 and Croatia and identify good practices.

The expert meeting will provide the opportunity to exchange and share reflections on experiences and approaches in the field of domestic violence, with specific concern on training, awareness raising and victim’s support services.

This meeting will primarily target stakeholders from the EU Member States, involved in the development and implementation of policies and practices as well as in the adoption of methods and tools to prevent domestic violence.

It aims to share the findings of the study in terms on practices with potential, in order to identify examples that can be assessed as good practices.

Participants will have the chance to provide an effective contribution to the assessment process as well as to the development of further networking and dissemination in the field of prevention of domestic violence.

The meeting will take place on 27 September 2012 in Vilnius and it is only by invitation.
