Experience Exchange in the Frame of EIGE’s Study “Collection of methods, tools and good practices in the field of women and the media (as described by area j of Beijing platform for action) in the EU 27 Member States and Croatia”

EIGE is hosting a peer review on good practices in the area of women and the media, which will take place on 29 and 30 May 2013 in Vilnius. 

This meeting is organised in the context of EIGE’s study Collection of methods, tools and good practices in the field of women and the media (as described by area J of Beijing Platform for Action) in the EU 27 Member States and Croatia. One of the study’s aims is to assess practices with potential collected from EU27 and Croatia and the other one is to identify good practices.

The expert meeting will be an opportunity to exchange and share reflections on two experiences on monitoring and self-regulation tool and best approaches to promote gender equality.

This meeting will gather stakeholders and experts from EU Member States and Croatia, involved in the development and implementation of policies and practices as well as in the adoption of methods and tools to promoting gender equality in the area of women and the media.

It aims to develop methodological guidelines on how to best implement tools in the media, to support and promote gender equality, with specific concern to the increase of the participation of women in decision making processes and in expression.
