In the framework of WE EMPOWER, a program promoting economic empowerment of women at work in G7 and EU countries, funded by the European Union and implemented by UN Women in partnership with the International Labour Organization, UN Women will be conducting a webinar on The Impact of Trade Agreements on Women’s Economic Empowerment on December 12, 2019 at 16:00 Brussels time.

The webinar will discuss measures to support women in trade through trade policy and potential models for measuring success. It will focus more specifically on the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Panelists will include Stephane Lambert, Commercial Counsellor for the Canadian delegation in Brussels; Liva Andersone, from DG TRADE; and Anu Peltola, from UNCTAD.
