Genera is a European project funded under Horizon 2020 to implement Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in physics research organisations. GENERA developed a range of evidence- and practice-based tools and recommendations to assist in the design and implementation of GEPs, which can be also applied to other related fields. The project started in September 2015 and is now ready to share results and experiences with policy makers at the institutional, national, and European level.

The aim of the workshop is to present evidence and results from the project and to discuss how policies that promote the use GEPs (or similar actions) as a tool for achieving structural change in science institutions can be enhanced (e.g. by closing important gaps) and make gender equality targets more easily achievable (e.g. through access to organisational change expertise).

You should attend the workshop if you :
• are directly or indirectly responsible for policy making on gender equality in physics or STEM fields at the institutional, national, or European level
• have seen gender equality plans “in action”
• are interested in improving good practices and conditions for effective GEP implementation
• want to develop initiatives to make careers in physics and related fields more attractive and rewarding for (young) women in particular
