Ligia Nobrega
Gender Statistics Database Officer, EIGE
Ligia Nobrega is a Senior gender expert working with EIGE since 2010, responsible for EIGE’s Gender Statistics Database. Her activities focus on promoting gender-informed policy making, providing technical advice, developing and implementing methodologies for monitoring conceptual and measurement gender of equality frameworks.
Previously worked at Eurostat developing capacity-building processes on gender statistics within the context of international statistical cooperation.
Prior to Eurostat, she has been working at regional and national level in gender-equality advocacy and community driven development.
Ligia holds 2 master degrees, one in Sociology and social analysis and another one in Project management from the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
