Claudia Villante

Seconded National Expert – Gender Mainstreaming, EIGE

Dr Claudia Villante is a senior researcher at ISTAT – Italian National Statistical Office and Seconded National Expert at the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE). PhD in Social Systems and Public Policy Analysis at the University of Rome, Claudia has been carrying out socio-economic research by adopting a gender mainstreaming approach and supporting stakeholders and policymakers in planning, monitoring and evaluating the impact of gender-responsive programmes and projects. At ISTAT, Claudia has contributed to developing the Integrated System of Violence against Women data warehouse, adopting the multi-source approach. At EIGE, Claudia is a project manager of the Gender Equality in Academia and Research (GEAR) tool aimed at providing organisations with practical advice and tools through all stages of institutional change, from setting up a gender equality plan to evaluating its actual impact.
