From 15 to 26 March 2021, the sixty-fifth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) takes place in a hybrid format, with mostly virtual meetings.

EIGE will participate in the following events:

  • 15 March, 16.30 - 17.45 CET, Violence against women in the public and private spheres: measure it to end it. The importance of data collection and research in combating VAW - Organised by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in cooperation with Switzerland and in association with the PACE Parliamentary Network “Women Free from Violence”. Watch the Facebook LIVE event to hear our gender-based violence expert, Cristina Fabre, speak about EIGE's work on measuring violence against women in the EU and what EIGE does to put an end to it.
  • 17 March 2021, 14:00 – 15:30 CET,  Gender-based Violence in the Online World: Emerging Forms, New Approaches, and Youth Prevention Programmes - organised by the Czech Republic. Don't miss our gender expert Jurgita Pečiūrienė at #CSW65!   • 17 March 2021, from 16.30 CET, Gender Equality and Socio-Economic Consequences of the COVID-19 crisis: Building gender-responsive emergency and recovery measures - an EU - PT side event. Watch the broadcasted event to hear about the gender equality measures our Director, Carlien Scheele, proposes to help Europe recover.
