Around the globe, local leaders and communities are stepping up to combat gender inequities and restrictive gender norms that impact health and well-being. From policies that advance pay equity, improve workplace conditions, reduce gender-based violence, and more, we in the United States have much to learn from the world.
That's why the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Evidence for Action (E4A) program and Global Ideas for U.S. Solutions team have launched a new call for proposals: Approaches to Advance Gender Equity from Around the Globe—to learn from efforts in other countries to ensure that all people—regardless of gender or sexual identity-have access to the opportunities and resources they need to stay healthy.
Through this funding opportunity, up to $1 million USD will be awarded to learn from gender equity initiatives underway outside the U.S. that are supported by evidence and have the potential to be adapted and implemented to improve health and well-being in the United States.
