The International Conference on Governance, Crime and Justice Statistics seeks to promote dialogue among the stakeholders involved in the production of statistical information on crime and criminal justice, including researchers, policymakers, and other data users.

The aim is to increase the availability, quality and use of data to improve the analysis and design of public policies.

The Conference stems from the vision of the “Roadmap to improve the quality and availability of crime statistics at the national and international level”, jointly approved by the UN Statistical Commission and the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
