Lockdown measures implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic led to increased reports of intimate partner violence in a number of EU Member States, with a number of countries introducing emergency measures to try and address the increased risk of violence. EIGE examined the various measures introduced by Member States to gather quantitative and qualitative evidence on the effectiveness of institutional responses to combat intimate partner violence during the Covid-19 pandemic and during crisis situations more broadly.
