Description
In response to a request by the European Commission, and in support of 2017’s programme of focused activities on violence against women, EIGE developed country factsheets for each of the Member States and the EU as a whole, detailing the activities, policies and legislation, prevalence data available, good practices and support services in each case. These factsheets contribute to EIGE’s mission to assist the EU institutions and Member States in the collection, analysis and dissemination of objective, reliable and comparable information and data on equality between women and men. These data can be used to make better policy decisions and combat violence against women more effectively.
