Aims and objectives
The original Gender Impact Assessment instrument, as devised and promoted by the Emancipation department. To be applied to governmental policies which affect gender equality, not to be applied to gender equality and emancipation policy itself. It includes both a checklist to determine whether it is relevant to carry out a GIA on a specific policy domain, and a framework to conduct a GIA.
Results and impact
GIA report, includes problem definition and scope, gendered effects of policy, and recommendations for policy. Between 1995-2005, 22 GIA reports were produced. No exact figures n GIAs since 2005.
