Searching for information on how to mainstream gender in your work? EIGE’s database on gender training resources provides a collection of generic and tailored materials, guidelines, tested practices, ideas, suggestions and tips on how to integrate gender and train the relevant actors, covering the period from 2005 to 2012.

During the state visit to the Republic of Lithuania the President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, and the prominent representatives of the Republic of Finland visited EIGE to learn about the Institute’s work and the situation of women and men in the European Union [read more].

EIGE is meeting leading gender equality experts, policy-makers and statisticians from all EU Member States, to present the conceptual framework and preliminary results of the Gender Equality Index and discuss its benefits and possible use.

On 3 April the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) of the European Parliament visited EIGE. Chair Gustafsson and his delegation and Director V. Langbakk and her staff had a fruitful exchange of views on the supporting role of EIGE to the European Parliament, EIGE’s upcoming activities and plans for closer co-operation.

On the occasion of the International Women's day, EIGE presents the results of the first EU-wide study on female genital mutilation.

The President and the Director exchanged views on gender equality issues and the efforts of EIGE in supporting EU and Member State policies (read more).

It is the first report to deliver a full set of comparable and reliable data on support services for women victims of violence in the EU 27 and Croatia.

On 6 December 2012 EPSCO adopted Conclusions on “Combating violence against women, and the provision of support services for victims of domestic violence”, prepared by the Cyprus Presidency on the basis of EIGE’s report “Violence against Women Victim Support”.
