Dennis van der Veur, the Head of Unit for Outreach & Engagement, attends the Women7 Summit (W7) in Rome to give a keynote speech on the cost of gender-based violence and the power of data. He also participates in a panel discussion on the same topic, and meets with EIGE’s Management Board members and Irene Fellin, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, in the margins of the summit.
The objective of the W7 is to ensure that gender considerations are mainstreamed into the forthcoming G7 discussions, which will take place in June, and translated into the G7 Leaders' Declaration as policies and commitments that foster gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.
